Detailed Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival – Moshi Town
Arrive in Tanzania and meet your Uisso Adventures team. Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to your hotel in Moshi for rest, briefing, and final gear check.
Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi
Meals: Dinner (depending on arrival time)
Day 1: Hotel → Londorossi Gate (2,360m) → Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,810m)
After breakfast and briefing, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration. Begin trekking through lush rainforest, listening to birds and spotting wildlife, before reaching Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp, where your tent is already prepared.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,810m) → Shira 2 Camp (3,505m)
The trail climbs steadily through heath and moorland zones. As you cross the Shira Ridge, vast high-altitude plains open up and your first clear views of Kilimanjaro appear on the horizon.

Day 3: Shira 2 Camp (3,505m) → Moir Camp (4,160m)
You move east into a dramatic semi-desert landscape near Lava Tower. The remote Moir Camp, surrounded by volcanic rock formations and cliffs, offers solitude and excellent acclimatization.

Day 4: Moir Camp (4,160m) → Lava Tower (4,500m) → Barranco Camp (3,950m)
Acclimatization Day
Climb high, sleep low. You trek toward Lava Tower to stimulate acclimatization, then descend through the scenic Senecio forest and waterfalls into Barranco Camp, set beneath the towering Barranco Wall.

Day 5: Barranco Camp (3,950m) → Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp (4,600m)
The day begins with a scramble up the famous Barranco Wall—challenging but rewarding. The trail continues through Karanga Valley before reaching Barafu Camp, your final base before summit night.
Excitement builds as preparations are made for the summit attempt.

Day 6: Summit Day – Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Summit night begins around 1:00 AM. The climb is slow and steady under the stars. As the sun rises, you reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
After celebration and photos, descend to Barafu for a short rest, then continue to Mweka Camp.

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3,100m) → Mweka Gate
A gentle descent through lush rainforest leads to Mweka Gate, where you receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to your hotel for a hot shower and well-earned rest.
