Day by Day Itinerary

Start your journey through the lush rainforest, gradually ascending to Machame Camp. This day introduces you to Kilimanjaro’s rich flora and the adventure ahead.

The landscape changes dramatically as you leave the forest and enter the moorland zone. Expansive views of Shira Plateau open up, offering your first real panorama of Kibo Peak.

A key acclimatisation day as you climb to Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp. The trek tests endurance and rewards you with dramatic landscapes.

Climb the iconic Barranco Wall — an adventurous yet achievable scramble — before reaching Karanga Camp with spectacular views of the southern glaciers.

A steady climb to Barafu, the final base before summit night. Prepare your gear and rest early for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak.

Begin before midnight, ascending slowly to Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point. Celebrate your success before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.
